Hello to the new subscribers!
It’s such a thrill to see the number of subscribers growing. We are a community of 91 now!
It seems like a small number but it will fill up a train coach. That’s how many people want to read what I have to say. And I am nothing but grateful. 🌻
Now, onto this week’s topic- ‘SKETCH NOTING’ also known as visual note taking.
The word is self explanatory but let me still show you what it means.
Of course, this does not look like the best sketch note, but it’s not about how it looks it’s about using both words and visuals to help us express and understand a topic.
As many sketch noters say, it’s not about the ART but about the IDEAS!
How to take it back in your lives
Watched an interesting video? Or TED Talk? Sketch note it to remember key points
Sketch note articles, lectures or even non-fiction books
*Secret Tip for Learning Designers* Sketch note your lesson plan or training design or ask your learners to sketch note what they have learnt as an assignment.
I am still a beginner at this and I do not have the most beautiful penmanship but it is fun to do, keeps me engaged and I have to try harder to keep it brief and sum up the concept using both visuals and words.
Because I try harder, I also remember more!
